Today (3 June 2025), Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, gave an interview about the conflict between the Thai-Cambodian border, saying that the army, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had been talking all along, starting from the ministerial level. Moreover, this matter is related to the National Security Council (NSC), the Ministry of Defense, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, which has the highest authority to propose whether or not to close the border lies with the NSC.
